Installed this today, it caused my Poppeeper to be flagged with a -1000 error. Rolled computer back and problem cured. Have hidden update until i know what to do.

YMMV but...

...Microsoft is aware of an issue some customers are experiencing when installing KB2670838 on certain laptop systems with hybrid graphics. We are looking into the situation and are considering blocking the update for systems that could be affected. Customers who are experiencing issues on systems that already have installed the update should consider uninstalling KB2670838.

In the near future (one assumes), Microsoft should begin offering home users (only!) no-charge support for IE10 install and uninstall issues. You also may be eligible for the support if an IE10-related issue causes your computer to crash or if IE10 does
 not let you browse all sites. For now, however, you're on your own so you're best bet is to hide IE10 (*and KB2670838 IMHO*) & stick with IE9 for the time being.

    AFAIK, today's IE10 for Win7 is a final build.

    IE11 & IE10 are two (2) separate versions.

    IE11 is not "a continuance or update of IE10" anymore than IE10 was "a continuance or update of" IE9.

    When IE11 Final has been released, Win7 users will be able to upgrade to IE11 (unless you've chosen to block automatic upgrades).

    IE11 will be the last available IE upgrade for Win7 users (i.e., IE12 will not be supported in Win7).

    Hi,

    Is  IE10 going to be updated at all? Yes? No?

     ..then wondering about IE11 for Windows 7 that is coming out soon and is now in the preview offering - this link leads to many other links about it.
