lumia 720 screen freeze

Hi, I bought the 720 about 6 days ago and faced similar blackout issues several times. A point to note is, If I call my mobile when it is in blackout or hanged state, I can still hear the ringing sound from the other phone I used to dial the 720 but no ringtone from it!

If we are told to avoid multitasking by turning other apps off, then I,feel its very similar to what we used to do with Win98 OS in the 2000s! I am a Nokia fan as well, I think Nokia has to do,something very fast to tackle this and definitely not suggest an upgrade to 925 or other models!

So after I posted about updating Display+Touch, I got another update!! Anyway, I have yet to have to soft reset once!! I did get nervous because I pressed the button to wake the phone up once and nothing happened, but I pressed it a second time and it came to life. That was the only inkling of an issue. I think Nokia FINALLY fixed this thing. By all accounts, they should be embarrassed it took this long for them to address this issue. They should issue all Nokia 720 owners some sort of reward or compensation for having to endure all this BS for months. In all honest, they've done themselves a great disservice and have lost a ton of potential repeat buyers. After this phone, I guess I have to go the way of the sheep, honestly.

i read this chain in great detail, we have member complaining about thescreen freezes more on when a call is comingin and when they go to answer by swiping the screen the handset then locks up. im interested to find out how many UK users are seeing this too?

is there a software update which i guess would have to be check via soon?

u r genius, i lumia 720 got freezed for 5 hours. i pressed volume down key & lock key. the cell started. credits to u. thanx a lot

I am too facing a screen freeze problem and now it's happening most of the time. IT generally happens when im listening to music. Can this handset be replaced because isn't this a software problem?
