Poor font rendering in Windows 8 (blurry text)

Apparently there is a huge problem with **** font rendering in Windows 8. Text appears very blurry. Programs affected by the new rendering are: Internet Explorer 10, the modern interface (start screen), Office 2013 and other 3rd party applications that rely on this rendering technology. There is no way to fix this problem, unless Microsoft recognizes it.

    Did you try the simple solution, Tzon and 260 others (at this time)?

    Try adjusting the ClearType settings.

    Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Adjust ClearType text.

    Then choose the best looking text samples.

    You don't get it, do you Jalen?  Read the thread, adjusting Cleartype settings  DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!

    My issue with fuzzy fonts was entirely solved by disabling DPI Scaling in Windows 8.1.  This feature seems to have been around since Vista but I had never used it previously.   

    In your Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display

    1. Check the box "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays"
    2. Select the radio button for "Smaller 100%"

    Setting scaling to 100% means "don't scale" and hence no fuzziness.

    Of course not, it doesn't help.

    The fuziness you speak about here is something else than what the majority of people speak about in this thread. I'm wondering how many times we'll have to repeat it.

    I got a problem too after installing Windows 8.1 that I noticed in desktop mode.

    In fact, Windows 8.1 uninstalled the driver of my graphic card, used an old Microsoft driver which wasn't adapted to it and I had to install the dedicated one I had for Windows 7, restarted the computer and it was solved.
