Poor font rendering in Windows 8 (blurry text)

Apparently there is a huge problem with **** font rendering in Windows 8. Text appears very blurry. Programs affected by the new rendering are: Internet Explorer 10, the modern interface (start screen), Office 2013 and other 3rd party applications that rely on this rendering technology. There is no way to fix this problem, unless Microsoft recognizes it.

I 've gathered links bellow that refer to the same problem to highlight its importance and display the number of users that are affected:

I have tried all possible combinations between enable/disable hardware graphics acceleration and subpixel positioning, without any differences at all. The blurry text is always there...

Well I did the feedback form. I have no confidence it will make any difference. At least it did not take too long.

There really is nothing set up on the Microsoft website for people to raise this kind of issue.

Is there a network of MVP's we could get in to?

    Happy Summer.

There are more than enough MVP's contributing to this post.  As MVP's are just normal users and not really connected with Microsoft there is not much more they can do than to prod Microsoft to respond officially to this post.  Unfortunately Microsoft have obviously chosen not to respond as yet.

HERE IS SOME OF THE CORRESPONDENCE I HAVE HAD WITH MY MVP LEAD.

    Hi, So Young Lee,

I have just added this comment to that long running post.  I am really disappointed with Microsoft's response and so are over 250 posters.

    Hi, Mike Linstead.

    What a disappointing situation. T.T

Let me find more people in R&D team, than. I'm not sure though whether I can find the appropriate person who can answer, but I'll do my best.

    Sincerely,

    Soyoung

    Hi, So Young Lee,

I have been waiting a couple of months now to see some reply from a Microsoft representative to the two posts that I originally linked to back

on April 21, 2013.    I am not seeing any response from Microsoft on this

matter.  One of those posts has over 200 postings from Microsoft customers.

I would like to see some Graphics Microsoft representative answer in those posts, or offer an explanation as to what the problem is that is causing so many customers a problem.

I feel it is not the MS Answer Forum team in US that is the problem, it is the lack of expert (original programmers) comment that reflects badly on Microsoft.

One of the posts was started on February 24, 2013.  I, too, am disappointed with Microsoft's response, or lack of response.

I do thank you for your assistance however.

Hope we can see some progress on this issue. Please keep me informed with future change. Thanks again, Mike

    Hello So Young Lee,

Can you help with organising a reply to these questions on the Microsoft Answers Forum?  They are in desperate need for a reply from a Microsoft Representative.

These Microsoft staffers compiled this following  article, is there any chance you could get one of them to reply to both of the above posts which are not being answered satisfactorily at the moment, and could they identify themselves as being from Microsoft (if that is allowed)?

Rob Copeland + Sriram Subramanian, Dan McLachlan, Kam VedBrat, Steve Lim, and Jianye Lu, for their substantial contributions to this blog post.

The above two questions do need a response from Microsoft in my opinion.

    All the best.

So, if Microsoft do not listen to the Professionals they Value Most, what chance is there of them listening to mere software users?

    Thanks Linney.

Oh Microsoft, do you really want us to buy Apple - you know, stuff that just works?
