Poor font rendering in Windows 8 (blurry text)

Apparently there is a huge problem with **** font rendering in Windows 8. Text appears very blurry. Programs affected by the new rendering are: Internet Explorer 10, the modern interface (start screen), Office 2013 and other 3rd party applications that rely on this rendering technology. There is no way to fix this problem, unless Microsoft recognizes it.

    You can try adjusting the clear type settings (Open start, type "adjust cleartype", and it's in the settings results).

    I'm not a fan of Google softwares. But I test it at this moment on my Win 7 Laptop. It really works on many important pages, but unfortunately not here in the MS forum...

    Interestingly enough, I installed the Google Chrome Frame add-on for Internet Explorer 10 some time ago and today, when I ended up on YouTube, I noticed that there wasn't any anti-aliasing effect affecting the text and it was just like we all want it to be all the time. Unfortunately this isn't a solution for all websites but it's good to see and proves that Microsoft's rendering method isn't a problem only when you don't have eyes to see the difference.

    I do not see any need for start button. It's over-hyped problem. Use right click on Start "thumbnail" to access your most "precious" features.

    While this is good news and I'll probably buy it if it comes out, I do not agree. First, we had to patch Microsoft's idea of the Start button/menu to make Windows 8 usable, and now this? Microsoft will continue to release software unfriendly to desktop users and we will have to use and maintain third-party software for such basic elements of the OS? Linux is getting closer and closer for me. It's MS's job to fix this and I have a tiny hope "Blue" will do it.
