If you read this thread properly, you will see that we have tried your so-called fix before.
IT DOES NOT WORK!!
How many times do we have to repeat this?
Or are you just a Microsoft shill trying to deflect the issue?

Apparently there is a huge problem with **** font rendering in Windows 8. Text appears very blurry. Programs affected by the new rendering are: Internet Explorer 10, the modern interface (start screen), Office 2013 and other 3rd party applications that rely on this rendering technology. There is no way to fix this problem, unless Microsoft recognizes it.
I 've gathered links bellow that refer to the same problem to highlight its importance and display the number of users that are affected:

and go back to the brilliant Windows 7.
Windows 7 is not brilliant when using IE10. Ok, with a special theme made by a theme patcher and using XP font settings, windows itself is clear and all the text is very fine. But IE10 and the reading area in my Outlook is still blurry.
It's not only a Windows 8 problem, the IE10 makes the difference. IE9 has made it better.
Hello,
I've had this same issue before. So I applied the fix in here: http://www.askvg.com/fix-bold-blurry-or-hard-to-read-font-problem-in-windows-8-1/ and now it doesn't reproduce anymore! :D
Basically, you need to check the "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" checkbox in "Screen resolution" context menu, "Make text and other items larger or smaller"
LE: Hmm, it seems on facebook it still reproduces :(
Cheers.
I think this a brand new blur problem (!) MS managed to introduce with 8.1. It seems different than the grey-scale anti-aliasing on 8, IE and Office 2013. In any case, this new DPI problem finally made me uninstall 8 on all my PC's and go back to the brilliant Windows 7.
Many users say this solves the problem.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me :(
