Poor font rendering in Windows 8 (blurry text)

Apparently there is a huge problem with **** font rendering in Windows 8. Text appears very blurry. Programs affected by the new rendering are: Internet Explorer 10, the modern interface (start screen), Office 2013 and other 3rd party applications that rely on this rendering technology. There is no way to fix this problem, unless Microsoft recognizes it.

    YES!   Thank you very much.  I noticed when I put my hands on the monitor edges the problem worsened.  I removed and reconnected my lead to the monitor, tightened the screws and the result is a big improvement.  The 'ghosting' or 'blurring' is only evident ('touch wood') on my desktop icons.

    It makes me think that I forgot to say that I use IE10 and Chrome in desktop mode and I don't know whether there is a difference between Chrome in desktop mode and the Chrome app in the new interface and I don't have time to check just now.

    The interesting thing now is the "frequent" page in IE10 in desktop mode which appears when opening a new tab without URL: it doesn't use the anti-aliasing effect (100% zoom level in IE10 to see this correctly in this forum). That's how I would like webpages to be displayed in IE10 too.
