Error “Windows\System32\Atibtmon.exe Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library”.

Original Title: just installed windows 8 pro

getting error   windows\system32\atibtmon.exe 

mircosoft visual c++ runtime library

How can I fix this? Any suggestions would be helpful.

    delete atibtmon.exe ....restart then no more popup about error...

    I had the same problem with atibtmon.exe error.

    Occurred when disconnecting AC-Power or wake up from sleep.

    OS: Windows 10 Pro

    Display adapter: "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series"

    Driver: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

    Driverversion: 8.970.100.9001

    Driverdate: 1/13/2015

    No CCC (Catalyst Control Center) installed!!!

    Fixed after changing "ATI Powerplay settings" > "On battery" from "Maximize Battery Life" to "Maximize Performance".

    Found in:

    > "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options" (or "Windows-key + x" > "Power Options")

    > "Change Plan Settings"

    > "Change advanced power settings"

    >  scrolled down to "ATI Powerplay settings"

    > "On battery"

    > "Maximize Performance"

    Did it for every power plan!

    No more errors!

    Display is still be dimmed after disconnecting AC-Power!

    I'm trying to fix the issue with your instructions because tech support haven't help me with this issue but my problem is the same but on windows 10 so I'm trying to figured out what ccc stands for? and how can I get there? sorry for the inconvenience hope you could help
