Hi,

1.     Has the game ever worked earlier or it is the first time you are trying to play?

2.     Which operating system is installed on the computer?

Method 1:

You may try the steps from the following link and check if it works:

Flight Simulator X: “An error occurred while attempting to activate the product The problem may be due to an incomplete installation of the application”

Method 2:

Registry Disclaimer: ****Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Hello, thank you Anannya Podder for your solution. I had the same problem after uninstalling and reinstalling Flight Simulator X Deluxe with the accompanying Accelerator Pack due to problems that were associated with Windows 10. I reinstalled FSX Deluxe and after installation the Activation screen appeared as expected and activation of FSX went through without a hitch. Then I installed the Acceleration Pack, but no Activation screen appeared after startup of FSX, only the error screen exactly as described by Cole1212.

I followed the solution described in Method 2, only when I reached the level of "Upperlifters" the value was not "0" it was still  "partmgr".  However I noticed that even though it wasn't 0, and although it spelled out partmgr, there were capital letters in the Method 2 solution so with nothing to lose and to just to give it a try, I entered "PartMgr" and lo and behold when I started up FSX I got the Acceleration Activation screen, and everything has been working fine since.

    Hope this helps.

Method 2 worked in then end but note: Upperfilters had the value "partmgr". I had to change it to the case sensitive version "PartMgr" and that worked like a charm! :)

    My Problem Solved!

Just changed "partmger" to "PartMgr" in my Registry and, at last, after starting FSX, the Activation Window finally showed up.

    Many thanks for the tip.
