you would cancel checkdisk by pressing the power button to turn off the machine, which of course I would never advise except in your case. :)

as per Tech-Geek, you should cancel checkdisk and either see if it will boot, or try to use the recovery console disk.

 

Note: all I have read on the internet so far are complaints about the V2 Premier, wish I had better news.

 

If you are able to boot:

Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

msinfo32

Click OK, and when the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select All (Ctrl-A), Copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

 

Paste it to a document, and then expand each subheading copy and paste to same document, if you are going to do anything with this pc, you are going to need all the specs you can get to try to repair any hardware, there is not much on line.

 

Oh and then print that document or save it to your skydrive acct and make it public.

Agree with you about all the negative reviews I read about V2 Premier

Computers.  The complete computer system was bought in 2003 and was

a backup to my primary.  It worked fine until just a week ago.  It was

a V2 Premier Intel P4 2.4GHz Complete System with a 17" Flat Screen

Monitor, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Softerware plus 25 CD's

of additional Software Programs.

If you state your make, model, and model number of the pc, I can look for a manual to get instructions on a reinstall.

Did it come with discs when you purchased?

It seems to be going from worse to worse.  Make, Model and model number.

Not doing my due diligence when I purchased this computer online from

a informercial with alot of hype.  I am now just finding out with a google

search that this computer is a clone.  They are built and assembled in

China, Taiwan.

 

The make is:  V2Premier

Model & Model number is not on the back of the Tower, might be on the

bottom base, but don't want to take a chance to move the Tower while

CheckDisk is still processing.

 

Yes, it came with a package of Discs for all kinds of programs.  Also have

some Windows XP Software.  In fact I have two that are Version 2002.

It's been a few years, so if I rememer correctly, one was for a computer

I bought that had Windows ME preinstalled and the company would send

me the Windows XP Home Edition to upgrade and the second CD was

for the computer I'm now having a problem with.  Also notice on the CD's

that one specifically has printed on the CD upgrade where the other one

doesn't have it, just instructions to run.  I have the manual for one of the

CD's and on the front end flap of the cover is printed:  For Distribution Only

With A New PC.  Not sure if I can still use these CD's for a reinstall.

Crosslink Resolved By Copying.

cross-linked on allocation unit 95241

Similar entries cover the whole screen with the allocation unit changing.

Anybody know what these codes are and exactly what is happening now

and is this a good positive sign that progress is finally happening.

supposedly you can hit F4 on restart and it is a one step formating, I have not found a manual yet and from all I have read I might not. I will keep looking.
