Error recover web page, Internet Explorer not responding

Original Title: Internet not responding issues,

When I try to go to a web site 9 out of 10 times I get a pop up at the bottom of my page saying msn.com, or other websites, not responding. Then the question box opens to says recover web page? I click yes, but nothing happens!

Hi,

1.       When was the last time it was working fine?

2.       Which version of Internet Explorer is installed on the computer?

3.       Have you made any recent software or hardware changes on the computer?

Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the Fixit from the link mentioned below and check.

Check if the issue occurs, if it does proceed to method 2.

**Note:**Resetting Internet Explorer is not reversible. After a reset, all previous settings are lost and can't be recovered. Rather than resetting everything, you might want to reset specific settings in the Internet Options dialog box or delete your webpage history.

Note: There is a chance of data loss if any files are infected and which may be deleted in the clean up process.

    I use AVG as well. Never had any problems with that.

    Check that you haven't got  KB3087916 in your updates. Causes major problems.

    I've tried just about everything to sort out the freeze but nothing works. On advice I removed Shock player from Manage Addons in IE11 and that stopped the games. Installed Flash, made no difference and reinstalled Shock. Some improvement in speed but it soon reverted back. Finally decided to use the Reimage programme advertised. They had an offer of £9 for the year so thought it a bargain and purchased it. Received an invoice for over £26! Took them 10 days to put it back into my bank!

    I followed the first link and received the following message:

    "            

    We're sorry, but your operating system is not supported by Microsoft Fix it at this time. "

    Run Now was greyed out.

    How do I download the MS Fix it?

    Having received this by e-mail I thought, 'at last, the answer!' After all this is the Microsoft Community. But what do I get? Another question on the same theme.

    You would think, considering the thousands worldwide no doubt who have to suffer the stop script and recover webpage error messages day in and day out that Microsoft would have produced a solution but no, too busy taking care of the profit margins as opposed to the customers.

    I am, as you can gather, cheesed off BIG TIME!

    I have windows and still get the error all the time.  The microsoft fixit links don't support wind 10.  now what?
