Error recover web page, Internet Explorer not responding

Original Title: Internet not responding issues,

When I try to go to a web site 9 out of 10 times I get a pop up at the bottom of my page saying msn.com, or other websites, not responding. Then the question box opens to says recover web page? I click yes, but nothing happens!

Hi,

1. When was the last time it was working fine?

2. Which version of Internet Explorer is installed on the computer?

3. Have you made any recent software or hardware changes on the computer?

Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the Fixit from the link mentioned below and check.

Check if the issue occurs, if it does proceed to method 2.

**Note:**Resetting Internet Explorer is not reversible. After a reset, all previous settings are lost and can't be recovered. Rather than resetting everything, you might want to reset specific settings in the Internet Options dialog box or delete your webpage history.

Note: There is a chance of data loss if any files are infected and which may be deleted in the clean up process.

I search all over the web and found my solution doing this:

SFC /SCANNOW
1. Click on the Start button. Inside the search box type in CMD
2. Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command
SFC /SCANNOW

found 2 corrupted files that cannot be repaired.
- telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json
- utc.app.json
They are from a bad Windows update :

KB3022345 does NOT cause file corruption.

Summary

This update enables the Diagnostics Tracking Service in Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. This tracking service collects data about functional issues in Windows.

This update contains the following two manifests that are occasionally updated by the Diagnostic Tracking Service:
- telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json
- utc.app.json
The two files are marked as static files in the update. When an advanced user runs the System File Checker Tool (sfc.exe), the files are unintentionally flagged as corrupted. There is no impact or corruption on a device that is running this update, and this issue will be fixed in a later service update.　

Solution:

Just go to Windows Update and click on the installed updates in the lower left column. Wait for it to populate.. There is no harm in trying this.

Then search for KB3022345 and uninstall it. You will need to restart.

If running sfc /scannow still shows that these 2 files are corrupted, do the following will fix it:

To repair these two corruptions is rather straight forward, it is important to know if you need the x86 or the x64 version of these files. SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the above corruptions only, do not run these fixes if you do not have these corrupt files.
1. Download **SFCFix.exe** (by niemiro) at http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
2. Download SFCFix.zip from one of the below links, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip – do not rename it.
3. If you have a x64 machine download this version: **SFCFix (x64 fix)** at http://files.thetechcookbook.com/fixes/x64_KB3022345/SFCFix.zip
4. If you have a x86 machine download this version: **SFCFix (x86 fix)** at http://files.thetechcookbook.com/fixes/x86_KB3022345/SFCFix.zip
5. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
6. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
7. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
8. SFCFix will now process the script.
9. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
10. Now run SFC /SCANNOW should return no problems. Reboot your PC and IE should be fine now. The above works for me at least. I am using Win 7.

had script taking to long and web recovery issues with IE 11 on windows 8.1 before, Now even worst with Windows 10...Made changes in safety settings,( tracking smart filter ect) turned off debugging , nothing helps even slower opening, more often freezes lock ups all continue except in increased frequency.

Mr fixit NOT compatible with Windows 10, why who knows, free is what you get NO?

I can't get past the first stage. I arrive at SFC/SCANNOW and receive the following

There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run SFC again.

Have done it three times. Same message.
