Windows 8 Pro cannot boot - Error 0xC000021a

Hi

I upgraded my son's laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro. I has been working fine for a few weeks. But now when booting It halts iwth the error code 0xc000021a. I have tried the following options

Refresh - this fails with the error 0xc000021a

System Restore - this fails with 0xc000021a

Safe mode boot does not work

I can start the cmd console

Any suggestions as to how to proceed?

    Amir's fix works.  I just used it.  Thanks buddy.  Aronhugos' fix is garbage.  Start by forcing drivers to have signature disabled within win pro 64 bit boot options and I added a step and ran advanced system care pro 6.3 to clean up any garbage.  WORKING.  Came up with some misc errors that I need to fix but I'm in my PC and that's what matters.  Normally I would never comment on any posts like these because people leave nothing but garbage tips or try to sell their business.  Thanks again Amir

    I have the exact same problem,  i had my phone connected to my laptop, i was moving some files inside the phone, when all of a sudden the laptop started lagging it moved the files in 0 bytes per second, so i restarted the laptop and got that blue screen error. just wondering does anyone have any solutions for this, Has anyone tried to install windows 7 then back to w8?

    I did not do anything.

    But blue screen occurred after a normal restart.

    Sometimes my computer cannot be shut dwn and I have to press the power button for a few seconds to force it be switched off.

    Nothing happened in the past few months.

    But this time my computer cannot boot at all.

    What should I do?

    Aaron's suggestion has not worked for me :(

    I hade updated to windows 8 pro from windows 7 a couple of days ago, and suddenly today it has crashed. I haven't found a single solution to this problem yet. Need help!
