Safe mode boot does not work

I can start the cmd console

Any suggestions as to how to proceed?

There's no value running 8 on a PC. I just removed all the stupid "App's" from Welcome Screen and added a Text "Start" in the left corner of the Taskbar ... no funktion, but i need this to feel good ;)

So i'm finished installing all Updates on my Vario Laptop, incl. Windows 8.1. (My "Start" Text was replaced by a Start-Symbol to access "Welcome Screen"). No need to say, Windows 8.1 has no value on a PC too...

So long, fu Microsoft. Please don't do this again.

I could not do anything with Windows 8 installed so I reset my PC  to factory settings and re-installed Windows 7, re-installed the files and apps I wanted, and am happy to have the old setup back with latest versions of IE and Chrome and a desktop. Never did understand the value of Windows 8 format on a PC.

    Me again,

it seems there's only one Solution, re-install Windows 8 ( i used "refresh WIndows", all Apps and Updates are gone... ).

Now the Updates are on the way to be installed again .... i will repost if "0cx000021a" appears again.

Hi Folks, i have the same Error Code c000021a, after Windows doing Updates ! I'm using a new ( ~1month ) old Sony Vario Laptop with Windows 8. Here's my SrtTrail : Gefundene Fehlerursache: --------------------------- Fehlercode c000021a. Parameter = 0xfffff8a000b88850, 0xffffffffc0000428, 0xfffff8a000c24a20, 0x0. Die für den Start erforderliche Datei "" ist beschädigt. Log File say, theres a broken File "" which needed for Windows startup. I can reset my PC to an old Savegame ;) ( 23.11.2013 ), doing this takes 1,5 hour .... After doing so, Windows start normal and download/install Updates again. After 2 day's there's a forced reboot and the **** " :( " Symbol will appear while booting. I'm pissed off -.- - Safe Mode don't work too Any new solutions out there ?
