I agree with you and Windows 10 isn't much better, I am very sure I will be changing to Linix now. Microsoft has f**ked their operating system so bad that nobody likes it anymore.
When are they going to get back in the real world?

Please expand on, ". . . too many things going on ..." by listing a few such things.
In my experience, Windows 8.1 is like all previous (last 14 years or more) versions of Windows with two very visible exceptions: start screen menu instead of start button menu & charms. Start menu button has many options to resolve. Charms too. Beyond that, a few checkmarks/options and it looks and feels (to non-power users) essentially the same.
So I am curious as to your list of issues, ANOTHERGLENN?
this windows 8 sucks- too many things going on, You **** geeks should have left it alone.
this system just sucks. I can't even play dvds that I could on Vista. Other things I couldn't do on vista was some software that I needed to udate. Could not do those things so I upgraded to 8.1. I can't even watch dvd. I got ahold of geeksquad and they tried to fix it. No luck at all. One Geek told me that 8,1 didn't come with a dvd player. He suppoded to have fixed it by loading VLC media player. Using that has been a big pain. I can't even figure out how to get to it and use it. These is after I got help from the Geeksquad. 8 sucks and I can't belive this but windows is dead with me. I'm going to Apple, but it's gona hurt the budjuct. Not as much as windows has caused me but at least I may not have so many darn problems. I just can't believe windows sucks so bad and cost way to much money.
