I had to restore my system due to an error caused by my internet provider.  How can I re-install the MSVCP100.dll file that is now missing on my

OS Windows XP?

Hi,

1.     Have you made any changes to the computer recently?

2.     When exactly are you getting this message?

3.     What is the complete error message or error code?

I would suggest you to perform a SFC scan and check if it helps.

    First note that the reply from the Microsoft engaged alleged "expert" marked as the Answer is impossible to be the answer.

    The System File Checker does not know or care about the MSVCP100.dll file and suggesting it is akin to saying "I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it".

    Looking at my XP system that file gets installed with the Windows C++ 2010 Redistributable:

    You need to install that and you can do that from this link:

    Click here for the 32-bit download

    Click here for the 64-bit download

    Note that the system requirements say you must have SP3 installed so if you don't have that installed I would install that first.
