After loading and later repairing Windows Essentials I continue to get an error code of 80004001 when starting Photo Gallery,

It comes up right after the initial Photo Gallery screen appears.

    Hi ceport,

We need to check the version and build of your Photo Gallery. To check, locate then click the Blue/File menu tab in your Windows Live Photo Gallery or press (Alt + F), click on the About Photo Gallery. In addition, approximate the date that this issue first appeared and if there were any changes to the computer/Photo Gallery settings before the issue started.

    Thanks,

    Gerard G.

Thanks Gerard, But there is no Blue/File tab on the Photo Gallery window that appears and it is impossible to get anything from Photo Gallery because it has an error box that only say the 80004001 error has occurred and can't be started.

Nothing can be done until you OK the error message box and then everything goes away.
