How to provide feedback to microsoft?

I searched everywhere, it seems Microsoft doesn't have a official place for Window 8 feedback, which is a real pity, because Window 8 has the potential to become a really great product but it'd be hard without listening to the customers feedbacks.

The feedback option is on every page you use on Microsoft websites and is linked directly to each area specific to the topic you had been assessing, at the bottom where it is asked:

"Was this page helpful?

Your feedback helps improve this site.

"

Is where to place feedback, where this information is the used to improve the page content and suggest improvements. This feature is not being utilized to it's fullest capability.

Your other options are to join/subscribe either Microsoft Connect or Microsoft TechNet services, There are plenty of was from Microsoft/Windows user's to provide feedback and help make a great brand/product better!

We are not looking for a place to provide feedback on the webpage or the quality of the answers on a support forum.  We are looking for a place to take a survey or provide feedback on actual applications such as Office 2010, Windows7, Word, etc...

For example, the current feedback options allow me to tell my mechanic (tech support) they did a great job fixing my car (problem).  I'd like to tell Ford or Honda (Microsoft) about what they did well or poorly with the applications.

Like I said, use Connect or TechNet, choose your application and use/work with the said application and understand it within the parameters set out in Connect/TechNet, then just follow the feedback from within that said application and all of your feedback/suggestions will be taken on board.

I have just looked at Technet and I can't find any way to provide feedback through that site. There is a link to "provide suggestions for microsoft products" on this technet page:

But that links to microsoft connect

So I guess microsoft connect is supposed to be the central hub for providing feedback on microsoft products.

However, microsoft connect does not seem to accept feedback for all microsoft products, all of the time (e.g., you can't provide feedback on windows 8). I have also realised there are separate feedback sites for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 7 (but not Windows 8):

This haphazard approach to feedback options is extremely irritating and contrasts to the elegant and simple site Apple have for gathering feedback
