Apple has a web page where you can provide feeback to Apple on their products, software, and services:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Is there a way to provide feedback to Microsoft on their products, software and services?

No Richard....maybe if you clicked those links you would find that Microsoft does not provide any mechanism for people to provide feedback about ANY of their products. These so-called feedback links lead to an endless merry-go-round of "Community Forums" and "Tech Help Desk" where the "helper" can only direct you back to the beginning of the trail which leads -- guess where? -- directly back to the chat you are already using! Talk about wasting money and time!!!
If MS cared about what people thought of their products they would have an open and easy feedback forum. As it is, they do not, they have a de facto monopoly as something around 90% of all computers are using their OS.... So they just don't care that end-users find their products to be clunky, slow, glitchy, etc. Or that end-users may have feedback that could greatly improve the products' function and desirability.
MS is more about "take it, b****" than "how was that, dear?".
I challenge you to actually try to leave feedback for MS.... I bet the best you will be able to do is vent at some poor "tech support help" person hired by a 3rd party contractor in Manila to handle MS's 24 hour internet black hole of "chat".
And just so I CAN leave my feedback SOMEWHERE (even though there is a gnat's eyelash of a chance that someone at MS with ANY ability to do ANYTHING about this feedback will see it here)...... Here is what I would like to tell MS about Outlook.com:
I use a hotmail account for business. I know, it's kinda dumb. I probably shouldn't, but I do.
I use outlook.com on the web for email.
Here is what I want MS to consider (and despite some STRATEGIC use of CAPS, some SNARKY comments, and excess punctuation in places, THIS IS NOT A RANT this contains valuable feedback):
Why do I keep emails for so many years? As I said, I use my account for business, and it is real estate. I am mandated to keep files for a certain number of years. I could download these files, but honestly, there are so many free and virtually limitless-storage email options out there (WITHOUT ADS!!) so why does MS expect me to put up with this **** AND LOOK AT STUPID ADS!?!?!?
In conclusion:
I routinely experience time wasting, frustrating, and inconvenient aspects of outlook.com, yet I am still using it. There may come a breaking-point where I move my email completely away from MS, but why would MS want me to get to that point? The risk at that stage is that I would consider all of MS to be as "bad" an experience as I have been having with outlook.com.....and I don't know why a company would want an end-user to feel this way.
However, if MS is going to make it impossible for an end-user to even leave constructive feedback somewhere where it can be seen, digested, considered, and acted-upon then I guess the answer is plain: MS simply doesn't give a flying toaster what end-users think.
If this kind of haughtiness continues, it'll be time for a new OS company (one with end-users in mind) to rise up and dethrone MS! I may not pay MS anything for outlook.com, but as I said above, there are plenty of alternatives (has anyone at MS even looked at GMAIL? They are handing your butts to you as far as end-user experience goes).
I did NOT find this helpful. MS needs to set-up and maintain an EASY, ONE-STEP process ON THE WEB for end users to provide feedback to MS about MS products. This should not be segregated into different products. This should be ONE PLACE for all MS products. Then, MS needs to parse this data and send it to the relative departments within their giant, bloated bureaucracy, then take this feedback into consideration.
Your suggestion to click the "Was this page helpful?" thing is laughable. I just don't understand why MS has to be such a closed network. It won't serve the company well as more and nimble players enter the information economy. MS's success is reliant on end-users wanting their products. If better, more user-friendly companies and products come along then MS will experience what IBM felt after Bill Gates met with them in the 1970s.
I, for one, won't shed a tear when this behemoth of asinine behavior goes down the drain.
Until then, I am just trying to use computers and internet for work and play despite MS's best-efforts to make the experience harder and more frustrating than it needs to be.
A lot of this irritation I am feeling would be gone if I could JUST LEAVE MICROSOFT some FEEDBACK about OUTLOOK.COM (and Windows 10, for that matter) somewhere that was expressly dedicated to that purpose.
HERE, HERE!!!! Ashley, you and your corporate overlords should very carefully read the concluding paragraph by the OP:
"The original question was not motivated by a specific product, I was simply asking if there is a single, well organised place to go to provide feedback on all Microsoft products (I used the Apple site as an example because I was hoping there would be a MS equivalent). Clearly this is not the case, and instead the feedback mechanisms are a convoluted mess. I think earlier in the thread you said something to the effect of it would not be reasonable for MS to have a feedback site equivalent to Apple's because MS has a much larger portfolio of products and services. Actually, I think this is a reason why it would be more important for MS to have a single page which acts as an easy to use conduit to feedback options (*not tech support or customer service*) for all the products and services."
