"IOLORGDF32 Program not found skip autocheck" after upgrade win7 to win8

Hi José AlejandroMera Arcila! I have already updated windows 8 and I have a same problem with you...

Try many times but no correct answer! Be patient and follow my way:

1. Press 'Windows + R', type 'Regedit'.
2. Look in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager".
3. Press right mouse, and select 'Modify...' file "BootExecute".
4. You can see: "autocheck autochk * ABCXYZ12378910..." - Sorry, I forgot it! You will not see like me when you complete too.

But don't care, just change "iolorgdf32" = "iolorgdf64" ("32" = "64").

5. 'OK' and restart. When prepare to log in window, don't press anykey! You must wait about 5~20 seconds for IOLO program will be started at the first time.

Now, you can laugh because it will not run from this time till forever, except you re-install windows, LOL! =]]

i cut from sistem32 and paste on 64???

Sorry for the delay ...

Launch regedit ("windows key" + R)

Type regedit and then "enter"

Accept the user control (it launch regedit as an Administrator)

open the keys (the left window)

:

hkey_local_machine

==> System

   ==>ControlSet1001

        ==> Control

            ==> SessionManager

In the right Window, you will find a key named BootExecute

Double click on it and made your chenge

Then, reboot.

I suppose we have to do this each time we launch iolo registry optimization.

I saw, as I'm typing this message, that the second autocheck command is not present.

I hope this can help you.

You will find on the net a lot of explanations about registry editing. Have a look but think about your "limitations" about system and registry manipulation.

hkey_local_machine  --  system  --  controlset001  -- control  --  session manager.

what is the exact file that needs to be deleted, i do not have iolorgdf32. as a file name.

the only mention of iolorgdf32 is at above location and is named BootExecute  and at data displays autocheck autochk * autocheck iolorgdf32 c:\users\richard\appdata\roaming\iolo\

If you search "iolorgdf" on your drive C, you will find a program named "iolorgdf64.exe" (c:\windows\system32). As my windows 8 is a 64 bits release (is there a 32 bits release ?), I change

autocheck autochk * autocheck iolorgdf32 c:\users<YourUser>\appdata\roaming\iolo\

by

autocheck autochk * autocheck iolorgdf64 c:\users<YouUser>\appdata\roaming\iolo\

It works perfectly.

<YourUser> is your login user on W8, as richard in the example given by RichardFizia

I try that way, however I dont understand that all. I found the program with the name "iolorgdf64.exe" (c:\windows\system32), but I dont understand how can you edit it. I mean change:

by

autocheck autochk * autocheck iolorgdf64 c:\users&lt;YouUser>\appdata\roaming\iolo\

By what way did you acces to the program for change it?
