in task manager there is process called Runtime Broker. and it uses over 600 MB of my ram. putting my average usage at 60% on my 4 gig laptop. not noticed any performance issues yet. just a lot memory being used. makes me think
of windows vista almost bc it had same issue in past. it would use all system resources.
Mark,
If your RuntimeBroker.exe consumes high memory and display high RAM usage, you may want to investigate your installed 3rd-party apps. Specifically, look at 3rd-party apps which you may have installed after you noticed this problem. Uninstall them one
after the other and restart your computer and then check the memory utilization, to try and isolate the problematic app.
Troubleshoot Touch issue:
I would suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and check if there is any hardware issue.
a) Press Windows key + W on your keyboard.
b) Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting.
c) Click on View All.
d) Click on Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
e) Click on Next button to run the troubleshooter.
If the troubleshooter didn’t detect any problems, then the issue is probably caused due to a corrupt or incompatible driver. I would suggest you to visit the manufacturer’s website to download and install the latest driver.
You may also calibrate your touch settings as mentioned in this article and check if it makes any difference.
