in task manager there is process called Runtime Broker. and it uses over 600 MB of my ram. putting my average usage at 60% on my 4 gig laptop. not noticed any performance issues yet. just a lot memory being used. makes me think of windows vista almost bc it had same issue in past. it would use all system resources.

The issue with runtimebroker.exe taking up so much memory and causing my Windows 10 machine to be come unstable just started happening about a week ago.  If I leave the computer on with nothing even open for any length of time I get the following pop up window and the computer becomes unstable.

When I End Task on runtimebroker.exe the memory comes back and the system recovers.

I am not running Norton AV (nor should anyone for that matter).  How do I tell what application is causing this to happen?

I have the same problem, in windows 10. I think it is a combination of Intel and Geforce.

I have multiple configurations (win 10 - 7 systems) and it only ocure when this 2 are in combination.

I am pretty sure the bug is in the broker not in the apps. Closing the apps SHOULD release the memory, but it doesn't.

Same for me. All updates, and Runtime broker still switches on every hour or so, until I'm going to shut it down. Then the game restarts again...

    This is really awful, annoying.

I have also posted this in the feedback app, but MS doesn't seem to do anything about it.
