Windows 8 PC Reset. Taking toooo long.

Now I understand this will take a long time but I did NOT plan for it to take this long. When I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 the format and upgrade only took 15 minutes. I was having some pc issues and said Hey! How about I use this new reset feature and start over again. WORST MISTAKE EVER! I have no clue what this is doing but this is taking forever. So far this thing moves up 6% every hour. It's been 3 hours now and it's still on 16% Can you all tell me what is this thing doing or is this some sort of error? My hard-drive size is 1TB clean and around 900gb when a OS is installed.

    Nothing to do... Gotta wait for the process to finish, it's gonna take long if your hard drive isn't fast enough... I mean 7200 rpm or faster but yeah you have to sit tight and wait for it. Sad but true

    A little late to the party... I know.  I just had to perform a reset on my laptop, and found the following information:

    If you perform a reset with the "Just remove my files" option, it should do a quick format and install the OS, which is pretty quick (30-60 minutes)

    If you perform a reset with the "Fully clean the drive" option, it does multiple write operations on the entire drive to securely erase it, which causes it to take a lot longer... hours.

    I think it all is reinstall. The reason I posted this was for discussion and because my recovery partition corrupted somehow and can't upgrade anymore.
