Now I understand this will take a long time but I did NOT plan for it to take this long. When I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 the format and upgrade only took 15 minutes. I was having some pc issues and said Hey! How about I use this new reset feature and start over again. WORST MISTAKE EVER! I have no clue what this is doing but this is taking forever. So far this thing moves up 6% every hour. It's been 3 hours now and it's still on 16% Can you all tell me what is this thing doing or is this some sort of error? My hard-drive size is 1TB clean and around 900gb when a OS is installed.

I appreciate what people have said here. I am doing this full reset with my Windows 10 install. Previously, I was running the Technical Previews, and I noticed Windows 10 was getting slower and slower. So yesterday, July 29, 2015, I upgraded to the released version of Windows 10 and noticed everything was still really running slow.

I checked all the data backups one more time, unauthorized the necessary programs, and decided to take the full, clean Reset plunge. It has been over an hour, and it is stuck at 1%! I made sure the hard drive was still making sounds, which it is. I am just going to let it go, as everyone else here has done. Hopefully, it will be ready in 12 hours!

Over an hour, and stuck at 1%? I can beat that. How about this: over 12 hours and stuck at 2%!!

By the way, I've now started a new thread 'Windows 10: Lengthy Reset' as I'm up to 24 hours and still stick at 2%!
