Where's Chess Titans in Windows 8?
There doesn't seem to be any Microsoft games installed be default.

If you take a look in the Store, there are several Chess games available there.
You can go to your Start screen by either clicking in the bottom left hand corner or pressing the Windows key, then go to the Store app.
Once in the Store, you can then search for apps by pressing Windows key + C and click Search in the Charms bar, and search for Chess games from there.

Microsoft has removed those games from Windows 8 by design. But these can be downloaded and installed from here: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/33814-Microsoft-Games-for-Windows-8. They install flawlessly and run the same as on Win 7. Hope this helps and if you have any other issues or questions post and we will be glad to help you solve them.
This guy hit the nail on the head. Do this and you will get the old games running again.
Not only are many of the games inferior, they are huge, slow to start, and bug you to sign in every time you run them.
Windows 8 is great if you take the time to work around it's issues.
Instead of giving the customer what they liked about windows they now use windows 8 to exploit the chess titans fans by charging for what was free. What does it cost you to give chess titans in windows 8? Nothing ! Shame on Bill Gates. I used to admire him and now see he is just another nickel and dime salesman who lost his vision and innovation and opts for all the money. Quit making excuses Bring back chess titans and solitaire !
Hi Debbie. The chess games available in the Apps store are inferior to Chess Titans. I for one, am very disappointed that I can't access this game anymore. It's just one of the aspects of Windows 8 I'm disappointed with.
Windows users are better off skipping alternate windows release....it happening for windows 8 release too. Windows 8 is not use friendly comparing to windows 7 unless you are using mobile/touch device. Microsoft needs to understand their own mistake and learn...
