Hi Ken!
Either you never played chess in your life
Me? Boy, have you go that wrong. It is over 50 years ago now, but I
used to be a very active tournament player. I was rated around 2000,
and knew and played with many of the strongest players in the US
(including Bobby Fischer, who I beat many times before he became a
very strong player). And I once drew in a simultaneous with a former
world champion, Max Euwe.
or never owned a Windows 7 version.
I certainly did!
That is such a legal game. I have played it now for over 3 years that I own a Win7 and will not trade my Windows 7 for a Windows 8. I am as of this moment, campaigning in Facebook and Twitter for those who like me and another few hundred thousand customers and lovers of Chess Titans to re-think it before they purchase Windows 8.
Again, I don't like Chess Titans at all, but if you really want it
back, you can get in Windows 8. See

I have played online and downloaded some chess games and they are nowhere as good as Chess Titans.
Are you talking about free chess-playing programs? You are probably
right; Chess Titans is better than most (maybe all) free ones. I
recommended two that are much better, but they are not free--Rybka
and Fritz.
