Where's Chess Titans in Windows 8?

There doesn't seem to be any Microsoft games installed be default.

Hi RobbieCharles,

If you take a look in the Store, there are several Chess games available there. 

You can go to your Start screen by either clicking in the bottom left hand corner or pressing the Windows key, then go to the Store app. 

Once in the Store, you can then search for apps by pressing Windows key + C and click Search in the Charms bar, and search for Chess games from there.

    Microsoft is waiting for you to give up looking for Chess Titans. You ain't never gonna get it from Microsoft. 

    Microsoft isn't losing ground to other companies because the other companies are better than they are, they are losing ground because they don't listen to their customers.

    I have a postcard that I have kept with me on my last 4 jobs that says simply: :"happiness is a satisfied customer"

    You are right - Microsoft stopped listening years ago.

    Thank You Mr. Universe.  I will try this, but I doubt if it will stop the increasing gravitational pull I feel towards the Apple store.  Apple had a chess game in OS for the Mac years ago, then MS followed suit in Vista with Chess Titans, which I loved. (I was one of the few people that actually liked Vista). Windows 7 was the pinnacle of MS operating systems IMHO, and Windows 8.X feels like a giant step backwards to a Schizo operating system which switches back and forth from windows 95 (ah, I recall fond memories of BSOD) to a pre-Google version of Android.

    Just found this site and it currently is working. It will install the Microsoft Games from Windows 7-including Chess Titans. Be sure to check file to make sure it is safe. Go here:

    Chess Titans is not in Windows 8. However you can put it there. See

    But I don't recommend Chess Titans at all. As chess programs go, it
    plays very poorly, and there are several better choices. I recommend
    either Fritz or Rybka.
