I uninstalled the Bing Desktop, but when I shut down the computer and it came back up, it was still there. How can I get rid of it completely?

Bing desktop was released through the windows update system,
Which is where you can Uninstall the update from,
Go to Uninstall a program or Programs and features,
On the top left click on View installed updates,
Scroll the list, it might take a minute or two to completely load all of the updates.
Right click it and click on Uninstall, it should be listed as, Bing desktop search.
P.S.
Change how you receive windows Recommended updates so when you uninstall it, it will not reload.
any way to identify which of the many many many updates included this appallingly dreadful "feature"? there is no appearance of the word "bing" in any of my installed updates, but i have indeed changed my update settings so as to choose from now on.

Anyone else ... I have spent over 3 days attempting to rid my computer system of Conduit and it's Bing add on. I am wondering if we could bring a Class-Action Lawsuit against MS for it's highjacking software. I will certainly like to find out if we (as a group) have any legal grounds for suing HighJacking Software, I paid for my computers, paid for each and every software that needed to be purchased, paid for each and everyone of the hardware and then MS tries to highjack MY computer w/o my permission. Shame on you MS.
How did you uninstall it?
went to control panel and found bing desktop and clicked on uninstall. then shutdown computer and when it came back up the bing desktop was still there.
