To launch your applications, go to the Start Screen by pointing your mouse pointer to the left hand corner of the Windows 8 screen and click it.
Scroll to the right and launch your application.
In the same Start Screen, right click and click All Apps - you should see all installed applications on the system then.
This is the only answer that worked for me. Right clicking as had been previously suggested only brought up an option to rename groups. Thank you for being accurate and concise.
well, this is an old topic and Windows has been updated twice in the meantime. That's why older answers do not match what the current version does.
Go to windows start screen scroll far right and all apps should be there like Chrome etc and you click on the 1 you want and it will take you to add/remove programmes. You will see all of your programmes there.
I know it works, I just did it after googling 'how do I uninstall a programme on windows 8 and there was a much easier to understand explanation
No, they're not the same thing, at all.
All applications refers to the new start screen and its layout.
All programs refers to the old start menu where the user clicked on "start" and then "programs" and then a shortcut, or another folder containing shortcuts. All these shortcuts in the start menu were all stored in a central folder, the "all programs" folder... They still are, on Windows 8, although it's a bit more of a task now to find exactly where it is, and newer "applications" often don't use it, instead just installing to the start screen; but it's the fact that it's still there that creates the distinction between the two terms.
So, please don't "advise" other people when you don't know what you're talking about.
