where is" all programs" in windows 8

To launch your applications, go to the Start Screen by pointing your mouse pointer to the left hand corner of the Windows 8 screen and click it.

Scroll to the right and launch your application.

In the same Start Screen, right click and click All Apps - you should see all installed applications on the system then.

    Try this link: http://blog.laptopmag.com/how-to-add-an-all-programs-button-to-the-windows-8-taskbar I used its information and could restore my "All Programs" button within the task bar.

    Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to explain the whereabouts of a feature that should be far more prominently displayed.  A senior citizen, I share the above expressions of dismay concerning Windows 8!

    Also, if you put your mouse in the bottom left corner it shows the start icon.  Right click there and it will show you many of the options that were in the old start menu.  Before you complain about how you can't do something, you should first figure out how to do it.  Then you can decide if the new way is stupid or not and complain accordingly.  But, just complaining about how you don't know how to do something in a new system is incredibly ignorant. 

           

    ...now why didn't Microsoft give us this helpful reply on page 1!

    "It is a good change in software" sorry but I disagree completely. How is this an imprvement? Everybody grew up with a Start button and everything was easy to find. Why change it? The fact that this thread even exists - and hundreds of others like it - show what a massive pile of **** Windows 8 is
