Windows 8 is stuck in an automatic repair loop

My windows 8 get in a automatic repair loop and it couldn't repair it. And than it says log file d:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt

What to do?

do a selective boot up with bios

get cmd to open and check

bootrec /fixMBR

bootrec /Fixboot

bootrec /rebuildBCD

and also

chkdsk /r c:

chkdsk /r d:

chkdsk /r e:

chkdsk /r f:

then let repair go thowe again and should be stoped

I would suggest you to login to any other computer and create a Windows 8 installation disk. Using that disk you can perform the troubleshooting methods given below.

I have a Windows 8.1 partition on my iMac that was working fine until Outlook started to hang getting mail from any of my email accounts. In the process of troubleshooting I requested an automatic chkdsk on boot.

Windows 8.1 rebooted, started up in diagnostics mode, showed progress up to 35%, hung there a little longer than before and then briefly showed that it had completed 100% of the chkdsk before rebooting. (According to the log file it completed all phases of the chkdsk without finding any errors.) It began running chkdsk again and I haven't found any way to get out of that loop. I am assuming that it didn't clear the entry in the registry, but I haven't figured out how to edit the registry from another drive.

I still have access to all my files from the Mac side or from a boot disk, but I have everything the way I want it and would prefer not to have to reinstall Windows over this issue.

I don't have any hardware problems that I didn't have before, when it was booting fine. There isn't a Windows 8 driver for my internal DVD drive, but I have an external one. I tried unplugging my iMac, but don't have easy access to the battery and am not sure that is the issue.

Any suggestions?

Hello justin, I have done this and it took nearly a day to finish, but still of no good use.

Please another advise. What else to do ? this is my dad's computer that is being used by the family and nearly all our files are stored here, we can't afford to lose this. It happened when the screen turned black and I thought it was already off and then I switched off the AVR but the turn on button was still on and I believe it was still processing, so it was an accident, but this is not the first time I have done this but this is the first time the computer did something like this.

My computer is Hp touch smart envy23

Now I understand why my programmer friend told me never to take windows 8, I'm starting to hate this software too -__-,
