I forgot the password to unlock my lock screen. its a NOKIA LUMIA 900... HELP!!!

i have a Nokia Lumia 900, and i tried to reset it by using using the volume button, camera key and power button...but it isnt working! i dont know what else to do. i cant go to my "settings" tab and change the code because my phone is locked...i cant use it for anything, my screen is locked and i dont remember the password. i need to fix this and i need help, please someone help!

The only option if you have forgotton your password is to perform a hard reset.

  1. Power off your Nokia Lumia 900.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Down and Camera keys simultaneously, and then press and hold the Power key until the Nokia logo screen goes black.
  3. Release the Power key but continue to hold down the Volume Down and Camera keys until the phone reboots.

        Yes they can access to contacts while locked.

    but not all contacts in a short time.

    Cortana will do it for you.

    while locked, you can press search button and ask to call a name like John randomly or say something nonsense so Cortana may call some one and then you can have contact's number.

    in fact it is somehow a bug.

    there are so many bugs in windows phone. There are something inconvenient making a nonuser friendly environment as well.

    there is no way getting back to phone forgot pass. in fact this was my problem this morning..amazingly I was sleep..waken up morning.changed pass and then I fall asleep again as I had sleepless night.

    waken up and forgot password.....I can't stand android

    But window a phone has a long way to become the best

    its not a bug, its a feature - this already existed long before cortana was available.

    there is a setting to disable speech commands on the lock screen if you don't want it.

    learn to investigate things before calling them "bugs" and whining about it.

    Omg what to do

    i forgot the lock screen password and my volume down button is not working.

    its already like 62 mins to try my next unlock

    And i had lot of imp data on my phone is there any way i can retrieve my data before resetting
