Windows Updates are available for Windows 8

With a black screen you will need to get some form of Bootable Media with Windows 8 on it, DVD or USB, to get into Recovery. There is no real other way without bootable media. When I downloaded Windows 8 I chose to burn it to DVD and install later, not upgrade right now. Honestly, with bootloader problems like this they should have never allowed a direct upgrade with no resort to go back. 

The problem with MS, is that their "Failsafes" for broken installs and upgrades, ALSO FAIL.

Beware after installing Windows 8 and restarting after downloading the updates Windows 8 refuses to load. This happened on both of the computers I have. Keeps trying to make an automatic repair and then fails and gives me the blue screen with the troubleshooting options of which nothing has worked to get Windows 8 to load. Same issues here and no help from Microsoft or Dell. Keep getting bounced between the 2 companies. Really sucks. Now I cannot even get my computer to boot and cannot even reinstall Win7 because my hard drive is corrupted. Screw that **** about unloading the graphic driver. I downloaded and installed the latest graphics driver and should not have to unload it to install an OS. That is a load of ****!!!! My next computer purchase will be from local Mac store where I can take the computer back and throw it threw the window if need be. I cannot believe MICROSOFT AND DELL ARE CALLABORATING TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be calling to get my money back for the download and the DVD the I ordered too. Thanks for making my last 3 days a nightmare, MICROCRAP AND DELL.

SUPPOSEDLY THERE IS A new??????? HOTFIX FOR THE BLACK SCREEN... HAVE SPENT NEAR 4 HOURS AND IT SURE IS HIDDEN IN i GUESS sANDYS RUBBLE PITS.....THE HOT FIX NUMBER IS CLAIME TO BR )hotfix (Fix413812000) BUT SAYS CALL ms TO GET IT... DOESNT WORK THAT WAY EITHER SURE SEEMS LIKE ONE GIANT SCAM CAME OUT HERE...... and funny as it sounds about an hour ago had "inspection scam" phone call..... told me were going to inspect my computer and fix it cant repaet what I told tyhe guy who sounded as if was in MUmbai,India by his accent.....

Now have to wonder..... maybe is a real scam going on here with a virus stuffed into the download of win 8 pro and multi media files......

if there is a hot fix someone tell me how to get it as right now am waiting for the dvd to ome in... got email telling me be in about a week..... lucky have another pc to use...... and can bet be no more win 8 trash for e on any of my other computers...... have to fix it or will remove drive and go thru it line byine to recover info I need and trash win 8 and the dvd and go back to win 7 pro and start loking at the apples

same issues here. uninstalled win8 went back to win7pro on suggestion from MS escalation rep then reinstalled win8. didn't help, it is even worse than ever. Dell was also no help as they are stymied and mistified. way to go MS and Dell.

my next computer will definetly be a mac. I am 61 and have stuck with MS through thick and thin. Well no more MS do you here me? and even though it cost low bucks to download and order DVD i will be requesting my $$$ back.

I have spent over $5000 on computers and software from Dell and MS and have been treated by ****. I have been bounced around from one incompetent rep to another and bounced back and forth between the two companies. If I live long enough to purchase another computer it will not be with MS software.

As for those who were lucky enough to have had no problems, BRAVO to you but wait, it's coming.

why should i have to chase after some hotfix. why doesn't MS bring it to me? that's a load of BULL!

I have so far only had 2 issues one is my Saitek Cyborg keyboard driver will not install either through windows update keeps failing and direct from Saitek webby. Second issue I have is Call of Duty 4, keeps kicking for various reasons one is a Unknown Windows API funtion????

Any Ideas on the keyboard front as its useless :(
