USB OTG support for lumia series...

Features like usb can't be ported to a windows OS?

Sounds like a very lame fanboy response to a reasonable request.

Lets see, a USB driver would take up how much space and how many lines of code?

Windows phone was the greatest creation NEVER made.

It had all the potential to wipe out the competition but they decided to lock everything and cripple their own product and now they're paying the price.

With the specs of most phones nowadays they could easily be running an actual OS complete with windows executables, you could completely customise your phone, and use it as a PC, but instead they lock it down so bad, you can't even use a thirdparty app to do anything without WP security stepping in and knocking you back for wearing the wrong shoes.

I have a lumia 1020 which I like for the simple fact it had outlook, and since updating to WP10 where they've bugged the **** out of it and tried to combine the accounts, I'm moving to android for sure on the next phone.

Even with root access there's not enough to keep me on M$ ****.

With Windows 10 mobile to be released in a week, has anybody got USB OTG working on their devices running technical preview? Windows 10 mobile certainly supports OTG because it has to support Continum. So if any of the old lumias do not support OTG with Win 10 mobile, then it's a hardware issue.

And again this feature has been on other mobiles for years!

and windows phone has had other features for years before iOS and android got them. does that make them inferior? no. there are technical reasons for the way things are right now, and that was defined YEARS ago. you can't magically undo a hardware specification. things will change from W10 onwards, and there's no point in whining about it on WP8 - yes, everyone knows it's not there.

Hey guys.I am also so dissapointed with Microsoft ,they really messed up a brand that pioneered OTG and everything we see on other mobile devices.Nokia introduced OTG on the brilliant N8,God I miss that phone.This Lumia nonsense struggles to copy simple text from the net.I don't know how many times I've stopped myself smashing this brick.

Cmon Ms listen to us please ,U guys have done a royal mess up with Windows 8 & 10.I have never heard of all customers wishing they had an older OS to a newer.Everyone I have met prefers windows 7 sone of us even think Symbian was more reliable.I have to restart this 1320 about 6 times a day due to funny behaviour.Do something.
