Close the Control Panel window

Then Logoff and restart Windows fresh.

I have the same problem on a Dell Inspiron desktop. None of these fixes work. Haven't tried the "Intel Rapid Storage Driver" fix yet. Apparently Microsoft is still trying to figure it out.

    Hi everyone.

I could not install windows 7 updates on a x64 system. It has also disappeared from the "Services" system I tried numerous ways from the internet ..none of which worked...UNTIL I downloaded:

Tweaking.com - Windows Repair (All in One) v1.9.14 Released

This worked FIRST time and now my system will update without any problems. HIGHLY recommended!!

Sorry this didn't help at all  get error code 80070002 , Did Win fix it found Win update error 0x80070002 ,Win update components needing repair, backgournd Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) were supposely fixed but still coming up with same error code, and this is with in WINDOWS hum. I've tryed resetting alll explorer settings in case the attack was in the cookies or the other storing abilities init, I had that felt before and it worked but still not able to update WINDOWS itself OH darn. Will continue on searching the vast Q&A even thought I'm trying to search for the error code it gave me thanks KINDLY Eddy;-)

I am having the identical problem, so I suspect it is a more widespread issue, but where is the solution?
