How do I create new folders or delete folders that I don’t want in my Mail app?

The Mail app shows the folders that are configured with each mail account. If you need to create, rename, or delete a folder, sign in to the web service for your account, such as Hotmail, and make the changes there. Any changes you make to folders through your accounts’ web interface will be automatically reflected in Mail the next time you sync the account.
Why would I have to go to my Hotmail account to set up everything when I have Mail open already this makes no sense at all and MS should really take a look at this app.
Guess I go back to outlook which has a great functionality

The Mail app isn't intended to be a full-featured email client. You can use the free Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird if you want more features, and of course Outlook, which isn't free.
Yes, this is fine for some but we need the capability to add a folder in Mail not go to another program to add it which seems very redundant???
