How do I create new folders or delete folders that I don’t want in my Mail app?

The Mail app shows the folders that are configured with each mail account. If you need to create, rename, or delete a folder, sign in to the web service for your account, such as Hotmail, and make the changes there. Any changes you make to folders through your accounts’ web interface will be automatically reflected in Mail the next time you sync the account.
I to find it incredible that you have to return to the Web app to add or delete folders. I would have thought that this app would have all the functionality of Windows Live Mail.
One other function that I would really like to see is the ability to specify another EMail address to appear when I send a message. I have an ISP that I have an EMail address from and I would like to use that address to appear when I send a message. In Windows Live Mail I can do this and on my Blackberry Tablet I can do this surely Microsoft can provide this ability.
Absolutely agree. I find it incredible that Microsoft set this up this way. It's almost backwards and it is most definitely cumbersome to have to go to the web site to do all of this. Unbeleivable. I love Windows 8 so far but this is without a doubt their biggest ommission.

So far, I like Windows 8, but I'm really missing the ease of use of Outlook Express and/or Outlook! Now I have to use two places for e-mail, particularly if I want to create folders, which I use all the time. It's a bit exasperating and may cause me to not use Windows Mail at all. If I have to go to my web mail and create all my folders there first, I may as well just pin my web mail to the Start screen and delete the tile for Windows Mail. I'm also irritated that I can't find how to add contacts and groups, which I also use all the time. And how do you know if there's a spell check on or not? I'd also like to request a 'read receipt'. I hope Microsoft will take all comments on board and provide an update.
This needs to be updated. Adding folders should be a standard function. I realize that this may be limited with other providers (though I think it did work with windows live mail), but with outlook or Hotmail this should be doable.
