How do I create new folders or delete folders that I don’t want in my Mail app?

The Mail app shows the folders that are configured with each mail account. If you need to create, rename, or delete a folder, sign in to the web service for your account, such as Hotmail, and make the changes there. Any changes you make to folders through your accounts’ web interface will be automatically reflected in Mail the next time you sync the account.

    I to find it incredible that you have to return to the Web app to add or delete folders.  I would have thought that this app would have all the functionality of Windows Live Mail.

    One other function that I would really like to see is the ability to specify another EMail address to appear when I send a message.  I have an ISP that I have an EMail address from and I would like to use that address to appear when I send a message.  In Windows Live Mail I can do this and on my Blackberry Tablet I can do this surely Microsoft can provide this ability.

    I think this is a way to get all your information on the web instead of keeping it secure and private.  I cannot find a way to add folders to my emails in Windows 10.  This is so ridiculous!  Where is the privacy and how come Microsoft has illuminated the ability of adding folders to my email.  Sound suspicious to me.

    #1- I see that no MS mod has replied to you question.

    #2- I have been on MS from the beginning to have folders in Mail and this is a MUST to  make this a workable app.

    #3-Why go through all the hoops just to make a folder when all you would have to do is ADD A FOLDER button duh

    Here is the information for the first post in this thread:

    The thread was created in 2012, shortly after the introduction of Windows 8, so you can see that this is not a new issue.  People are complaining about a feature that hasn't been present in Windows since XP and the demise of Outlook Express, yet are acting like it's something that's always been there.  There is no reason to expect this to change anytime soon, if at all.   Instead of thrashing about in the dark and bumping into each other, people should just install a free full-featured email client such as Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird.

     I HAVE Windows Live and it is NOT there, Mr. Sanctimonious.
