How do I create new folders or delete folders that I don’t want in my Mail app?

The Mail app shows the folders that are configured with each mail account. If you need to create, rename, or delete a folder, sign in to the web service for your account, such as Hotmail, and make the changes there. Any changes you make to folders through your accounts’ web interface will be automatically reflected in Mail the next time you sync the account.

    I to find it incredible that you have to return to the Web app to add or delete folders.  I would have thought that this app would have all the functionality of Windows Live Mail.

    One other function that I would really like to see is the ability to specify another EMail address to appear when I send a message.  I have an ISP that I have an EMail address from and I would like to use that address to appear when I send a message.  In Windows Live Mail I can do this and on my Blackberry Tablet I can do this surely Microsoft can provide this ability.

    I think this is a way to get all your information on the web instead of keeping it secure and private.  I cannot find a way to add folders to my emails in Windows 10.  This is so ridiculous!  Where is the privacy and how come Microsoft has illuminated the ability of adding folders to my email.  Sound suspicious to me.

    What do you mean, "sign in to the web service"?

    Live Mail used to be simple. Now it does my nut in.

    The Windows 10 Mail app is not the new Outlook, and doesn't resemble it in any way.  Follow the instructions that were in the post that you replied to.  If you're not using Outlook.com as your webmail source, follow the instructions for the webmail source that you are using.

    I always have been able to add folders to my Windows Live Mail, which I was using.  Since upgrading to Windows 10, I have been using the Win 10 default Mail, which I believe is the new Outlook.  I am trying to add folders to that email program.  Otherwise, I like it.

    Can you help me?
