Are you serious? There is no uninstall application, and so you know the alternative is to contact you, or reply to the link on the site that tells you to try "Add/Remove Programs". It proceeds to say:
"If for some reason you cannot find your Start Menu, or the Add/Remove Process does not work for you, click the link below for additional removal assistance:
Remove strongvault."
Following the link, you have a form to fill out just below this message:
"Give us a shout about anything related to Strongvault. We are usually pretty quick to reply, but responses could take up to 48 hours."
Seriously? You know perfectly well how your product works, and that it causes undesirable results for users. I am surprised that you would even post publicly, with your picture included (assuming that is really you). I couldn't associate myself with something
like this...how do you? You don't think so much of it maybe, but there are hundreds of programs out there that do this and cause issues. Even if I am not having the issue myself, I end up helping other people with problems constantly. YOU WASTE PEOPLES' TIME!!!
In this case, I did accidentally allow it to install with another program. What I really hate is that I saw the note about it just as I clicked to install. I am typically very careful and a little more knowledgeable than the average user, so I know to be
careful. In this particular case it was one of several programs that the software offered optionally (pre-selected, which you must change if you don't want it installed). The problem is that the other programs were on a different page as you progress and select
'next' on the installer. It was "fine print relative to the fine print". Quit wasting my time and post a direct response on what is necessary to remove it, before I have to plow through my registry.
Do you really think this will give your company a good image? Nope! your software will soon be blocked by every adware/malware scanner available. Honestly, think hard about how every small issue like this winds up taking up many hours of peoples' lives...hours
of time which should be spent with friends, family, or even ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHING SOMETHING ON THE COMPUTER. You are part of a system that wastes time and money, and chews up chunks of our lives...unless you correct your actions and remove this sort of practice
from your company completely. Man-up and post the easy fix that you know works for your product. You should be embarrassed to post your face, no better than a spammer in my opinion. Working for a collection agency is a more respectful occupation. You should
consider a switch.
