How do I resolve error 651 on a new Windows 8 installation?

The solution is there usually isn't one for the PC, you fix one problem and go on to the next problem.  My solution and the only permanent fix to MS's problems is buy a MAC.  You get what you pay for and when they come out with a new OS, it's only a few bucks and you can count on it to work as advertised.

Unlike the PC, where you have great expectations and then the inevitable let down and problems galore.

MAC's cost more, but if it works who cares and they last forever relatively speaking.  The aggravation factor alone is worth buying something that works.  Good luck with your eternal PC problems.  I have spent countless man hours trying to fix problem after problem with PC's, fix your problem permanently with a MAC.

Why do people keep buying a product that they know is going to aggravate them continually for the life of the product?  Solution MAC.

Microsoft has encountered a lot of problems. Windows 8.1 has been a disaster. Since going down the Mac route I only check my PC outlook mail once a day. I can get outlook mail in Mac. On my PC I was not able to get or send outlook main or access web sites for six days. Not only was there a problem with Outlook but also IE 11.

I noticed a lot of other people were having the same problem as I had and there were a lot of frustrated people. Adding to the problem is that support for Windows 8.1 is stopping in less than three weeks but Windows 7 support carries on.

The only downside I have with Mac is not with the computer at all but with Excel. I write a lot of macros and decided to test the speed of an i7 PC  processor against the Mac I7. I wrote a simple programme that selected 100 million random numbers and finished by displaying a message box with the time taken. On the PC it took 5.5 seconds but on the Mac it took 12.3 seconds. The bench test for Macs are faster so the time difference is to do with Excel for Mac

I have only used Mac for a short while but experienced no problems but I can't say that for the PC it seems that the problems are endless. I recently got a PC update which must have been a major issue as it was nearly 900MB. I tried to install it three times but each time it quit 75% of the way through. On threads I looked at plenty of other people had the same problems of incompletion. How could Microsoft offer a major update termed as security without checking it would fully download. It appears to me that Microsoft is having so many problems that they are rushing to get solutions out but they don't have the time to fully check their updates.

I am very glad I no longer rely on Microsoft. I only use my PC for a few special programmes that are not available yet for Mac

I should have made the change a long time ago. I had no problems with changing over went better than I expected. I have been asking everybody I see with an Apple how they rate them and every single person was very satisfied. Speed maintained with age and battery life impressive.

I know you'll have a great experience with your MAC as I have, the sooner people wake up and start the transition the soon MS will have to get off it's **** and make a product that works. I'm in VA where are you located? Have a good one.
