Are you out of your mind?!!

Why the heck should anyone need to go through all that ****? If you would have done it right in the first place I wouldn't have a reason to be looking at this!!

I have rely tried to stick with Explorer But with most every issue I have come up with seems to be related to just that!! Your "Explorer" It seems to me Explorer doesn't play well with anyone!!!

It may for a brief period but it never lasts!!!!!!

I may revert when 10 is installed but if it is anything like your past & present Explorer's you can stuff it!!

    But we shall see.

    Hello Broo

I would recommend you to reinstall windows 8 and if windows 8.1 is too important for you then don't install updates required to see the update to windows 8.1 i.e KB 2871389 and KB 2917499  . I did it and my windows explorer works perfectly . Else you see as you like .

And if we don't have the mozy thing?

I can't believe how many people are having this problem and for how long and microsoft hasn't issued a fix. I purchased my notebook with windows 8 in Feb 2013, upgraded to 8.1 the weekend it came out and no explorer refresh until a few days ago (Feb 2014) and now I can't do anything in file explorer, on the desktop etc because every 10-30 seconds my task bar pops up (blank with no programs pinned to it) at the same tie the windows I have open crash and a few seconds later the desktop appears, everything refreshed (and any copying of files or similar processes stopped/crashed also)

Can someone please update this thread with the microsoft fix if there is one or with a link to a fix that can be used/viewed by people who do not have specific programs or access to their forums.

    Much appreciation in advance

    Thanks
