I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center

There is a title: "Review recent messages and resolve problems"

Under that I had three warnings. Than I turned everything on.

After that I was able to install .net 3.5 without the 0x800f0922 error code.

Use the

Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off.

solution.

I hope it works for everyone with this.

I had the same issue but updating the Group Policy Setting under administrative tab helped...

Refer to Method 2: Configure the Group Policy setting in .. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2734782/

Hope someone can save some time..

what is the make and model of your computer

I'll reply to the only constructive post:

HP xw6200 3.6 GHz with 2 physical processors

    info:

I'm trying to install the likes of Sony Vegas 12 editor.

    DISM goes 60%......100%

Then waits for about 5 minutes and comes back with error 0x800F0922 saying that no operation was performed.

In the above article MS does not mention this particular error, so what is it?

Horked? You could look it up => http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=horked

    Did you upgrade to Win8?

Have you tried doing a Reset yet?

There are many definitions there, including a squirt from the nose, which could be a desription of something I suppose. If the poster meant "currupted, broken software", that doesn't really fit because everything works ok except this particular feature.

I prefer to use proper English words. Why be obscure, unless to appear clever?

Reset - is that the one where I lost all my programs and had to start again with a dozen installations?

Yep - tried EVERYTHING, as I said.
