I tried to update the .net framework 3.5 on my windows 8 but I keep getting this error code 0x800f0922. I tried all the methods I can find on the internet but I still cannot solve the problem. pls help.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center

There is a title: "Review recent messages and resolve problems"

Under that I had three warnings. Than I turned everything on.

After that I was able to install .net 3.5 without the 0x800f0922 error code.

Use the

Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off.

solution.

I hope it works for everyone with this.

I had the same issue but updating the Group Policy Setting under administrative tab helped...

    I have the same error on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and have tried every one of the these suggestions to no avail.   Hoping for a fix from MS soon.

    This fixed it for me on Windows 8.1.

    Run "lodctr /r" from a cmd with admin rights.  Then Try adding the feature again.

    Wow, that actually worked for me on 8.1. It's "lodctr /R" with a capital R. After that, installed 2.0 and 3.0 from "Turn Windows Features on or off" like normal.

    Wow, this is the only REAL solution to the same problem that I had on Windows 10 version 1511 and can't solve having tried all other methods. I just voted this helpful and signed up to express my appreciation to DonAWilson and all others who confirmed this. Because I have tried all other methods and none of them worked but wasted my whole night. Therefore I'm also trying to help other people who run into the same situation by telling them this is the way to go and saving their time.

    Microsoft should pay all of us back for doing their jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    if you still having this problem try this solution it worked for me1.

    1.open command prompt as admin press = win+x - select command prompt(admin).

    2.type following command "CD c:\windows\system32" hit enter.

    1. next type following command "LODCTR /R" hit enter.

    the above command will restore registry settings to there source one.

    4.now try to reinstall the .netFramework 3.5 through windows features again

    5.Go to control panel -  programs - programs and features - turn off on windows features select .netfreamework 3.5 and install it hope it work for you.
