I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center

There is a title: "Review recent messages and resolve problems"

Under that I had three warnings. Than I turned everything on.

After that I was able to install .net 3.5 without the 0x800f0922 error code.

Use the

Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off.

solution.

I hope it works for everyone with this.

I had the same issue but updating the Group Policy Setting under administrative tab helped...

Refer to Method 2: Configure the Group Policy setting in .. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2734782/

Hope someone can save some time..

I'm a tech support answer desk for Microsoft and that is the way that we fix that error code, I did not know that sharing knowledge was in any way because of discomfort in a forum like this, you have known it was a kind of competition it would have been more explicit in the answer...

After all this time, I still cannot enable this .NET Framework 3.5 feature. The latest one was the command line to clean up and restore the image. See the screenshots below

The OS was installed from scratch Windows 8 Enterprise.

    Processors: Intel Dual Xeon X5650@2.67GHz

    Memory: 12GB RAM

The system has been running fine, since I installed Win8 back in Jan/2013. Except the .NET Framework 3.5 feature that I cannot enable it (for some unknown reason).
