I tried to update the .net framework 3.5 on my windows 8 but I keep getting this error code 0x800f0922. I tried all the methods I can find on the internet but I still cannot solve the problem. pls help.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION!
Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center
There is a title: "Review recent messages and resolve problems"
Under that I had three warnings. Than I turned everything on.
After that I was able to install .net 3.5 without the 0x800f0922 error code.
Use the
Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off.
solution.

I had the same issue but updating the Group Policy Setting under administrative tab helped...

This fixed it for me on Windows 8.1.
Run "lodctr /r" from a cmd with admin rights. Then Try adding the feature again.
Wow, that actually worked for me on 8.1. It's "lodctr /R" with a capital R. After that, installed 2.0 and 3.0 from "Turn Windows Features on or off" like normal.
Wow, this is the only REAL solution to the same problem that I had on Windows 10 version 1511 and can't solve having tried all other methods. I just voted this helpful and signed up to express my appreciation to DonAWilson and all others who confirmed this. Because I have tried all other methods and none of them worked but wasted my whole night. Therefore I'm also trying to help other people who run into the same situation by telling them this is the way to go and saving their time.

I have the same error on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and have tried every one of the these suggestions to no avail. Hoping for a fix from MS soon.
Yeah, I kinda even tried that and it did not work. I need serious help. I have tried every single thing everyone has mentioned. The computer still refuses to work. The error message is still the same. I know that one guy insists on starting new threads but that wont make much a difference at this point. Should i just upgrade to windows 10? Buy A new computer? I'm out of options. This error is also threatening my windows updates. My computer will not update at all. I had 135 updates that repeatedly didn't install after every "Update and restart" because of this stupid error. Has Microsoft not come up with an answer for this problem. Because I can assure you my copy of windows 8.1 is perfectly non-pirated/horked. Went into best buy and bought it myself. I even Refreshed my computer, didn't work. Resetting will almost certainly have the same results because others have said the reset will not work. Should i just save for a new computer at this point? I need an affordable gaming rig that is atleast an i7 and can support multiple monitors/recording/gaming at once.
