I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center

There is a title: "Review recent messages and resolve problems"

Under that I had three warnings. Than I turned everything on.

After that I was able to install .net 3.5 without the 0x800f0922 error code.

Use the

Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off.

solution.

I hope it works for everyone with this.

I had the same issue but updating the Group Policy Setting under administrative tab helped...

Refer to Method 2: Configure the Group Policy setting in .. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2734782/

Hope someone can save some time..

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.

The .net 3.5 install on a new AMD 64bit system with Windows 8 pro 64bit will not work.

Tried the several "solutions" with dism, including copying frrom DVD and re-install from HD but with no result but error 0x800f0922.

The "advise" to refresh the win8 install is no solution, I do not feel like re-installing all software that I installed from the web or from cd's.

The solution that I have for now is to run the dotnet software on a virtual XP pro in a linuxbox, isn't it a shame that microsoft, knowing this problem, is not able to bring an acceptable solution?

I know MS from back to DOS 2.2, and Windows has improved but the dotnet framework is the top in software that creates problems with all of my customers and now even with me.

Please MS look into the matter, I am willing to cooperate in searching for the cause.

    Kind regards,

    Jan

As I told you in a reply to yet another post of yours in yet another thread...

These are Consumer-specific forums. You will find appropriate support for Win8 Enterprise (Evaluation Edition or otherwise) in the Win8 IT Pro forums => http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/w8itpro

If Win8 were properly installed, all you'd need to do is (a) connect the computer to the internet and then (b) enable (turn on) .NET Framework 3.5 per the following illustration (screenshot) from a Windows 8 computer:
