I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center

There is a title: "Review recent messages and resolve problems"

Under that I had three warnings. Than I turned everything on.

After that I was able to install .net 3.5 without the 0x800f0922 error code.

Use the

Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off.

solution.

I hope it works for everyone with this.

I had the same issue but updating the Group Policy Setting under administrative tab helped...

Refer to Method 2: Configure the Group Policy setting in .. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2734782/

Hope someone can save some time..

I am in the same opinion. Windows 8 is not made for Desktop. I have been trying to enable .NET Framework 3.5 for the last two days, so far no luck.

Question: Can I enable .NET Framework 3.5, if I have enabled already the .NET Framework 4.5 Advanced Services? Does the order matter here?

Hi, have you started the new thread? I'd be interested to know if you got anywhere with this on-going problem.

    i'm talking about this link

ok thanks. I went there and the workstation is there but the latest os that they provide for is XP or 2000. I'm guessing that's not going to help? It will be a very old bios that will never had heard of Vista, let alone Win 8?  Same as what I've got, in fact?
