can I use send to mail recipient with the mail app?

The person who indicated it would take 20 lines of code to fix didn't know what they were talking about.

Read this thread (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-ecoms/windows-8-mail-not-working-properly-as-default/005c9131-40fe-4fdd-8280-fa36998e0dc1?page=1) where the Microsoft Forum Moderator involved with the Mail app indicated that the mail app does not support MAPI and so it does not support the SendTo function.  You can complain as much as you want and as many times as you want, but that was over 2 years ago and they still are not supporting it and will not.

The Mail app is not an email client program.  It is webmail wrapped in a fancy wrapper.  They told us years ago that they are not going to invest in any email program that does not have "revenue value".  So they dumped Outlook Express and produced a hideous alternative with WLM and now they have this cruddy Mail app.  But they aren't going to change.

I suppose that it was unrealistic of me to hope that Microsoft people would read and take into advisement complaints lodged on answers.microsoft.com.

Yes. With a possible rare exception, there are no Microsoft people
here. This is a peer support forum. We are all just users of this
version of Windows here, helping each other if and when we can. We are
not Microsoft employees (not even those of us with "Microsoft MVP"
behind our names; that's an honorary title for having provided
consistently helpful advice) except for an occasional Microsoft
contractor or employee.

If you want to complain to Microsoft about something, please contact
them directly. Trying to do it here is just a waste of (figurative)
breath, and clutters up the forum.

Why do you keep sending people round in circles. You have  known for some time that "send to mail recipient" doesn't work since you got rid of windows live mail and brought in this useless windows 10.

Why have you not yest fixed this with an update?

Outlook mail has hardley any settings available. I can't make message rules.  Send to email recipient doesn't work. and every now and then all the icons on my desktop re arrange themselves. I think its pathetic that you have not sorted these issues with an update. Is this because you don't have a solution? 

you pay developers thousands of pounds for medling with things that are clearly beyond their skill level.

Now fix my PC that was ok untill you changed it. from a fully functioning windows 7 into this bag of crap !!!!!!!!! my next PC will probably be an Apple..
