Can't install a language pack

Most definitely, Linux supports many language and I've never seen anything like this. It has very good support for Microsoft Office documents in several different packages, OpenOffice, LibreOffice, Kingsoft Office... 

I've always been a strong supporter for Linux on the work floor because most companies can benefit from it in more ways than this. It's more secure, it's completely free of charge (for the OS, some software packages still require payment but usually a lot less than the MS equivalent) and lets face it, Linux has really matured and does most of the things that Windows does.

Gaming is a little more complicated, but even in that area, developers are catching up... not that you need that for a company :)

This crappy support from Microsoft will only push people towards alternatives, and there are some pretty good ones out there. If MS Office was open source, there would've been a solution LONG TIME AGO!!!!

Amazing, problem exists so long time, many people complaing about and nothing.

Windows crue does nothing to repair it.

I try do install Polish and nothing. Should I really change the OS to Linux?

Try this:

In Run dialog box(win+r) type 'msconfig'.

In System Configuration in General tab select Diagnostic startup and click OK

Restart your PC

Install language pack

Restart your PC

Run msconfig

Select Normal startup in General tab

Restart your PC

When I run Diagnostic startup the PC is offline.

lpksetup and config setup don't work offline.

Any other way to install the LP?

It's in my Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder allready

In the log file are 3 unable to find fails:

peprovider

wow64provider

embeddedprovider

Try this:

Install language pack

Restart your PC

Run msconfig

Select Normal startup in General tab

Restart your PC

It seems the only solution that really helps... It's no guarantee that it works first time, but eventually it should. Thank GOD we have such good support from Microsoft, we're really getting what we're paying for :)

I suppose they're still too busy supporting an OS (XP) that should've been decommissioned a decade ago instead of supporting people who actually invest in new MS products!!!!!!!
